Gymnastics Fans Can Meet The Bruins' On Nov. 20
Nov. 6, 2005
The UCLA gymnastics team will conduct its 'Meet the Bruins' event on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 2:00 pm in the John Wooden Center on the UCLA campus. Admission is free to the public, and the first 1,000 people in attendance will receive a UCLA Gymnastics team autograph card.
Spectators will be treated to exhibition performances and skills demonstrations from the five-time NCAA champion Bruins, which feature defending NCAA all-around champion and 2000 U.S. Olympian Tasha Schwikert, two-time Canadian Olympian and 2003 NCAA bars and beam champion Kate Richardson, and current U.S. National Team member Kristina Comforte. Fans will get a sneak preview of UCLA's renowned floor exercise routines, which are choreographed by Bruin head coach Valorie Kondos Field.
Also taking place during the event will be question and answer sessions with the gymnasts and UCLA coaches. Fans will also be given a crash course in Gymnastics 101 - an educational look at the construction of gymnastics routines.
After the exhibition, spectators can obtain autographs and have pictures taken with the Bruin gymnasts. Season ticket and support group membership information will be available throughout the afternoon and are also available now through the UCLABruins.com website.
