Stanford's Kristin Richards Named Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Stanford outside hitter Kristin Richards has been named Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week for Nov. 21 - 27, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Richards, a junior from Orem, Utah, posted 66 kills (7.33 kpg) over the weekend in leading No. 5 Stanford to victories over No. 16 UCLA and No. 13 USC. She tallied 31 kills while hitting .367 with 16 digs in the win over UCLA. In the five-game thriller at USC, Richards posted a career-best 35 kills, hit .288, and collected 22 digs.
For the week, Richards hit .323 in collecting 66 kills (7.33 kpg) and posted 38 digs (4.22 dpg).
This is the first weekly honor for Richards and Stanford's 55th Player of the Week honor all-time.
