Dec. 9, 2005
The USC men's basketball team will play in the 13th Annual John R. Wooden Classic to be played on Dec. 9, 2006 at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, Calif.
The Trojans are 1-2 all-time at the Wooden Classic, losing their last game in the event to Missouri in 2002. The Trojans defeated Utah in 2000 (65-60) and were beaten by Duke in 1999 (81-68) at the classic.
USC will be joined in the 2006 Wooden Classic by UCLA and two teams that have yet to be determined. The Trojans and Bruins will not be matched up against each other.
Established in 1994, the Wooden Classic is an annual tribute to the legendary former coach and the excellence he personifies. The event has a history of bringing the nation's finest college programs to Southern California.
