LOS ANGELES (AP) - Lodrick Stewart scored 16 points, Nick Young had 14 and Gabe Pruitt added 13 as USC beat Alcorn State 76-53 for its seventh-straight victory Sunday.

The streak is the Trojans' (7-2) longest since winning nine in a row during the 2001-02 season.

They host defending national champion No. 19 North Carolina on Wednesday in the third game of a six-game home stand, the Trojans' longest of the season.

Alcorn State (0-7) has yet to win a game this season. All of the losses have come on the road as part of a schedule that has the Blazers away from home for their first 11 games.

USC took control at the start of the second half Sunday.

With both teams shooting just under 38 percent in a first half that yielded a 27-24 USC lead, the Trojans came out of the locker room firing, scoring on 11 of their first 12 possessions.

Their 28-9 run during the eight-minute stretch left them with a commanding 55-33 lead they wouldn't relinquish.

USC began subbing out its starters with a 63-45 lead with 5:22 left.

Delvin Thompson led Alcorn State with 22 points.

The Blazers' 32.8-percent shooting marked the sixth time in seven games that USC has held its opponent to less than 40 percent.

In the first half, the Trojans led by 10, 18-8, with 11:49 left, but the Blazers answered with an 8-1 spurt to get close again.
