USC Picked 17th In 2006 Baseball America Preseason Poll

LOS ANGELES -- The USC baseball team has been picked No. 17 in the 2006 Baseball America preseason poll, released today. Four teams from the Pac-10 Conference earned Top 25 recognition, including Oregon State (No. 8), Arizona State (No. 16) and California (No. 25).

The Trojans finished the 2005 season with a 41-22 record and reached the NCAA Super Regional for the fifth time in seven years.

USC opens the 2006 season on Friday, Feb. 3, at Long Beach State in a 6:30 p.m. game at Blair Field. All games this season will be broadcast live, along with video webcasts for home games only, at
