Day Two Results from Men's Tennis SDSU Invitational

San Deigo, Calif. - The Arizona State Men's Tennis Team continued play today at the San Diego State University Invitational, where they took home home seven wins on the day of the nine matches played.

In doubles, the Devils were able to take two of the three matches played, with ASU's Nick Hegarty and Ryan Waits leading the Devils with an 8-3 win over SDSU's Eugenio Romero and Anthony Gomez, while their teammates Jonathan Kinsella and Ryan McBride followed suit with a 9-7 win over the Aztec's Stephan Timu and Robert Sabo.

In singles action, the Devils were nearly unstoppable as they took five of the six matches on the day.

Leading the way for ASU was Ryan Waits who defeated Nima Ossareh in a 6-2, 6-1 bout.

Following Waits was junior Christopher Biro who took a 6-2, 6-4 win over Benedikt Stronk.

Their fellow Devils followed their lead with Jonathan Kinsella, Mike Beatty and T.J. Bellama all winning their singles matches, giving the Devils seven wins of the nine matches played on the day.

The SDSU Invitational continues tomorrow with the Devils facing the Aztecs again with a start time of 9 a.m. PST.
