Led by Pruitt's 15 points and three 3-pointers, the Trojans went into halftime up 39-32 and shooting 64 percent from the field.
Down 25-24, Pruitt hit two free throws at the 5:20 mark to put the Trojans up 26-25, then followed with back-to-back 3-pointers as USC went on a 12-3 run to take a 38-28 lead with 1:06 left in the half.
The Trojans went up 55-45 at the 11:31 mark of the second half on free throws by Lodrick Stewart, but the Ducks responded with a 19-8 run to take their first lead of the second half, 64-63, with 6:24 to play. Taylor and Oguchi each hit a pair of 3-pointers during that run.
Southern Cal quickly tied it back up on a free throw by Abdoulaye, and a dunk by Nick Young at the 5:37 mark put the Trojans back up for good, 66-64.
The Ducks were hampered in the final minutes after losing starting point guard Aaron Brooks and his primary backup, Brandon Lincoln to fouls with under four minutes to play.
