Sanja Tomasevic Named National Player of the Year

SEATTLE-- Washington senior outside hitter is the (Collegiate Volleyball Update) National Player of the Year. It marked the second player of the year honor for Tomasevic, who also received the Asics National Player of the year award.

Tomasevic, the 2005 Pac-10 Player of the Year, led Washington to its first-ever national championship in December with 4.5 kills per game and a .351 hitting percentage. She averaged 2.73 digs per game and 1.11 blocks per game and finished her career as the school's all-time leader in kills and aces.

The award was the second honor for the Washington volleyball team as junior setter Courtney Thompson was named the National Setter of the Year.
