USC Football Coaches Clinic Set For March 10-11

The third annual USC Football and Nike Coach of the Year Southern California Coaches Clinic, offering expertise for football coaches on all levels, will be held March 10 and 11 at USC.

On March 10, there will be an introductory talk by USC head coach Pete Carroll, followed by roundtables and breakout sessions with the USC offensive and defensive coaches. Registration that day begins at 4 p.m., with dinner at 5 p.m. prior to the evening sessions.

Speakers on March 11 include collegiate head coaches Dan Hawkins of Colorado, Pat Hill of Fresno State, Dick Tomey of San Jose State and Guy Morriss of Baylor, plus USC strength and conditioning coach Chris Carlisle and several high school and junior college coaches. Also speaking will be placekicking consultant Chris Sailer and long snapping consultant Chris Rubio. Registration for that day begins at 7:30 a.m., with the sessions running from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Cost of the clinic is $135 for both days or $100 for one day. Included in the cost is dinner on March 10 and lunch on March 11, plus gifts, raffle prizes and Nike discounts. The 2004 and 2005 clinics sold out, so attendees are encouraged to sign up soon.
