Stanford Falls to Oregon State, 28-7

Stanford, Calif. - Stanford (6-5, 3-2 Pac-10) fell to Oregon State (12-2-1, 7-1 Pac-10) tonight, 28-7. The Cardinal won today's earlier match, a 22-15 victory over Oregon and will close out the homestand against Portland State tomorrow at noon.
Oregon State came out quickly, with Eric Stevenson picking up a 5-1 decision at 125 pounds. The Beavers won the next two to take a 13-0 lead, but sophomore Josh Zupancic scored a 12-2 major decision at 149 pounds to stop the Beavers' win streak.
At 157 pounds, 16th-ranked Tony Hook avenged a loss to Scott Loescher at the Las Vegas Invitational with a 7-3 decision tonight, but Ray Blake came back at 165 pounds to score his 34 win of the season with a 3-2 decision over Anthony Weber. Oregon State closed out the dual with four straight wins en route to the 28-7 victory.
The Cardinal will honor its eight seniors tomorrow before the final home dual of the 2006 season.
