WSU Falls to Washington 83-57

SEATTLE - Washington State's Amanda DuRocher scored a game-high 20 points in the Cougars' 83-57 loss to the University of Washington in Pacific-10 Conference women's basketball action Sunday at Bank of America Arena.

DuRocher's 20 points matched her season-high point total (vs. UCLA, Jan. 14). It was DuRocher's fourth consecutive double-digit scoring game and her seventh in the last eight contests. For the season, the freshman from Spanaway, Wash., has recorded 11 double-digit scoring efforts.

Freshman Katie Appleton scored nine points and junior Kate Benz added eight points and seven rebounds for WSU.

Washington was led by Andrea Plouffe's 16 points. Plouffe led a quintet of Huskies who scored in double figures.

The Cougars return to action, Thursday, Feb. 9 at UCLA for a 7 p.m. tip.
