TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Briann January made four free throws in the final 32 seconds to help No. 15 Arizona State beat No. 11 Stanford 62-59 Thursday night.
Arizona State (21-5, 12-4) has won seven straight and 20 in a row at home. They cut the Cardinal's Pac-10 lead to a half game with the win.
January led the Sun Devils with 13 points and six assists, while Aubree Johnson added 10 points and seven rebounds.
Wiggins, the conference's leading scorer, finished with 28 points - 17 coming in the second half.
Neither team led by more than six points and after the 14:42 mark of the second half, the teams were separated by no more than three until January hit an off-balance 15-footer with 2:06 left to give Arizona State a 56-52 lead.
Wiggins hit four consecutive free throws to get Stanford even at 56 with 1:17 to play.
Arizona State's Amy Denson missed a long shot but Kristen Kovesdy grabbed the rebound and was fouled with 49 seconds remaining. She made two free throws to put the Sun Devils ahead to stay.
On the subsequent possession, Clare Bodensteiner tried to get the ball in low to Wiggins and January grabbed the errant pass and was immediately fouled.
After January made the two foul shots, Wiggins narrowly missed a 3-pointer with 15 seconds left and January was fouled again after getting the loose ball.
