  • PAC-10 ODDS & ENDS... A sign of balance - for just the fourth time since the league expanded to 10 teams in 1978-79, and the first time since 1990-91, the regular season champion will have at least four losses, while the team that finishes at the bottom of the standings will have at least four victories... Each Pac-10 team has posted 10 or more victories for the third consecutive season. The only other time that all league teams each posted 10 or more wins for three straight years was during the 1984, `85 and `86 seasons... NABC All-District honors were released Saturday. Here's a list of the Pac-10 players recognized:

    District 14
    First Team
    Brandon Roy, Washington
    Leon Powe, California
    Matt Haryasz, Stanford
    Second Team
    Chris Hernandez, Stanford
    Ayinde Ubaka, California
    Malik Hairston, Oregon

    District 15
    First Team
    Jordan Farmar, UCLA
    Arron Afflalo, UCLA
    Hassan Adams, Arizona
    Gabe Pruitt, USC
    Nick Young, USC
    Second Team
    Kevin Kruger, Arizona State

  • ARIZONA (16-10, 9-6)... Arizona shot 52.6 percent vs. Stanford. It marked just the eighth time this year that UA has topped the 50-percent plateau and just the second away from home. When shooting 50 percent or better, Arizona is 6-2 this season. The UA starters shot 27-of-48 (.563) from the field at Stanford... Sunday's four-point win improved Arizona's record to 5-3 in games decided by five points or less... Junior F Ivan Radenovic's eight rebounds helped Arizona outboard Stanford, 33-27. It marked the 11th time this season that Arizona had outrebounded an opponent and UA is 9-2 in those games, including a 6-1 mark in Pac-10 play... Over his last 10 games, Radenovic is averaging a team-best 15.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. In that span, he has connected on 55.6 (55-of-99) percent of his field goal attempts and 75.5 percent (37-of-49) of his free throw attempts. Radenovic has finished in double figures nine times in his last 10 games.

  • ARIZONA STATE (10-14, 4-11) ... Freshman F Jeff Pendergraph is averaging 17.4 points in the past five games. He is shooting 74-of-139 (.532) from the field in league games. Pendergraph has 12 double-figure scoring games and is averaging 15.5 points and 7.6 boards in the past eight contests... Junior G Kevin Kruger has played nine 40-minute games on the year, including five of the past seven contests, and is averaging 40.8 minutes in his past 10 games with his 50-minute effort at Cal on Saturday. He is 19-of-38 (.500) from the three-point stripe in the past five games. He has played 935 out of 980 possible minutes this year (95.4 percent). His 39.0 minutes per game season average is the top mark in ASU history.... ASU is shooting 38.3 percent from the three-point stripe (132-of-345), its best mark since the 1988-89 squad set the school mark with a .430 clip.

  • CALIFORNIA (16-7, 10-4) ... Sophomore F Leon Powe scored 30 points against Arizona to become the first Cal player since Ed Gray in 1997 to score 30 points in consecutive games (Powe posted a career-high 32 points vs. Stanford)... If Powe continues to lead the Pac-10 in scoring (20.1 ppg) and rebounding (10.5 rpg), he'll be the first Bear since Mark McNamara in 1981-82 to top the league in both categories. And at that pace, he'd also be the first Pac-10 player since Stanford's Adam Keefe in 1991-92 to average better than 20 points and 10 rebounds... Junior G Ayinde Ubaka has been Cal's iron man. He ranks second in the Pac-10, averaging 37.2 minutes per game. He's played at least 35 minutes in all but two games this season, including a 46-minute effort against Arizona State.

  • OREGON (12-15, 6-9) ... Sophomore G Chamberlain Oguchi is averaging 20.0 points over the last four games. During that span, he is shooting 19-of-43 (.442) from three-point range... Against Washington State, Oregon posted its best defensive effort in a Pac-10 game since the shot clock was adopted prior to the 1985-86 season. Washington State's 37 points was the fewest allowed in a Pac-10 game by the Ducks since a 29-23 loss to Oregon State late in the 1983-84 season... Oregon's last four losses have been by a total of eight points, or 2.0 points per game... Sophomore G Malik Hairston averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds in split with the Washington schools.

  • OREGON STATE (11-15, 4-11) ... Senior F Nick DeWitz pushed his season blocked shots total to 56 - second on OSU's single-season list. Former Beaver Scott Haskin tops the school's single-season list with 68 rejections... Sophomore F Sasa Cuic has scored in double figures in eight straight games, averaging 19.0 points. During that span of eight games, he's shooting 46-of-85 (.541) from the field and 16-of-28 (.571) from three-point range... In the 10 games since senior G Lamar Hurd went out with an injury, OSU has used six different starting lineups. With a healthy Hurd, the Beavers used five different lineups through the first 16 games of the season.

  • STANFORD (13-10, 9-5) ... The Cardinal have won six of their last nine. The three losses have been by three, four and four points, respectively... Senior G Chris Hernandez saw his consecutive free throws made streak end at 34 against Arizona. Hernandez is 62-of-65 (.954) from the charity stripe in league play... Over the last six games, Hernandez is shooting 24-of-37 (.649) from three-point range, including a career-high seven three-pointers in the loss to Arizona... The Cardinal are shooting 80.5 percent from the free throw line league games only... Senior G Dan Grunfeld scored a career-high 31 points in the win over Arizona State... Senior F/C Matt Haryasz joins former Stanford players Howard Wright (1985-89) and Tim Young (1994-99) as the only players in school history with 1,000 points/600 rebounds/100 blocked shots.

  • UCLA (20-6, 10-4) ... Sophomore G Jordan Farmar has scored 20 or more points six times, including two of the last three games, and has led the Bruins in scoring eight times, including two of the last three games... Farmar is one of just four players in the nation, and the only underclassman, to be listed on the Midseason (Top 30 players) Wooden and Naismith lists and as a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award... Freshman F Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had a game-high 10 rebounds vs. USC. He has now led the Bruins in rebounding on 23 occasions (out of 26 games), including four of the last five games, and he now has nine double digit rebounding games... This week vs. the Oregon schools will be the final regular season home appearances for UCLA's four seniors - Cedric Bozeman, Ryan Hollins, Michael Fey and Janou Rubin.

  • USC (16-9, 7-7) ... USC will bring its playing days in the Sports Arena to a close this week with home games against Oregon and Oregon State. The Trojans first began playing in the Sports Arena when the facility opened in 1959. The venue was site to the largest crowd to ever view a Pac-10 game, when 15,517 fans watched the Trojans beat UCLA, 83-79, in 1992... USC will move into the 10,258-seat Galen Center next season... Over the last three games, senior G Dwayne Shackleford is averaging 11.7 points. He was averaging 1.9 points during the first 19 games of the season... The win over No. 15 UCLA was the eighth victory by an unranked Trojan squad over a ranked Bruin squad since the 1978-79 season.

  • WASHINGTON (20-5, 9-5) ... The Huskies have posted back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time since 1984 and 1985... With their 96-63 win over Oregon State, the Huskies posted their first 90-plus point game since a 96-95 double overtime loss to Arizona on Dec. 31. The Huskies scored 90 or more points in eight of their first 12 games... Sophomore G Ryan Appleby hit 8-of-13 (.615) from three-point range last weekend. His 56 three-pointers this year rank sixth on the school's single-season list... Freshman F Jon Brockman leads the Pac-10 in field goal percentage (.533) and is fourth in rebounding (7.1 rpg)

  • WASHINGTON STATE (11-12, 4-10) ... WSU has used 18 different starting lineups in 23 games this season... WSU is one victory shy of matching last year's win total of 12... Over the last three games, Sophomore G Kyle Weaver is shooting 13-of-24 (.542) and averaging 10.0 ppg... Sophomore C Robbie Cowgill needs three blocked shots to move into WSU's single-season top ten list.
