Women's Golf Earns Top Spot for the Second Straight Tournament

For the second tournament in a row, the Arizona State women's golf team finished in first place at the Wildcat Invitational. ASU shot a 12-under 840, six strokes under Duke who took second place. Along with Jennifer Osborn, Azahara Munoz shot a career low 68 in the second round.
Vanderbilt's Jacqui Concolino received individual honors after shooting nine-under 204. Duke, California, UCLA and Auburn rounded out the top five respectively.
Freshmen Jennifer Osborn (68, 68, 73) and Azahara Munoz (71, 68, 70) led the Sun Devils after shooting a four-under 209 and tied for third place. Tiffany Tavee shot a three-under 210 (71, 68, 70). Alissa Kuczka tied for 11th place after carding a one-under 212 (73, 69, 70). Charmaine Erasmus shot a 17-over 230 (74, 77, 79) to tie for 65th.
Three Sun Devils were playing as individuals. Lindsay Anderson shot 13-over 226 to tie for 55th. Brooke Todare tied for 67th after shooting an 18-over 231. Danelle Perata shot a 30-over 231 to tie for 67.
This is the first tournament for ASU in which four of the five Sun Devils shot under par. Jennifer Osborn was the only Sun Devil to shoot under par in a tournament this season prior to the Wildcat Invitational. Osborn shot a one-under par in the Edean Ihlanfeldt, a tournament in which she placed first.
Next up, the ASU travels to Guadalajara, Mexico to compete in the Cal Invitational March 6-8.
