• Stanford will now be on the road for 10 consecutive contests that will take the Cardinal to Fresno State (February 24-26), California (March 3-5), San Jose State (March 7) and USC (March 10-12) ... The Cardinal will not return home until hosting Washington State in its first Pac-10 series Saturday-Monday, March 25-27, after a 12-day break from March 13-24 for finals
• Despite its early season success, Stanford is unranked in the latest Baseball America poll that was released on Monday, February 20 (the Cardinal was ranked in the other three -- #12 Collegiate Baseball, #17 NCBWA, #22 Rosenblatt Report) ... Stanford was ranked in the Baseball America poll for two weeks before losing the Kansas series ... The Cardinal jumped into the poll at No. 19 on February 6 after the Fullerton sweep and just stayed in at No. 24 following the series loss to Kansas but dropped out after splitting the first two games of the Texas series ... Stanford had not been ranked in the preseason poll for the first time since the publication started the rankings in 1981 ... In addition, Stanford was in the rankings for 227 consecutive weeks from 1994-2005 before dropping out on May 16, 2005
• Stanford looks to be breaking out of an early season offensive slump with a .312 team batting average and 29 hits during its three-game win streak, including a season-best 14 in Monday's 13-9 win over Texas when the Cardinal also registered a season-high in runs
• Chris Minaker (.583, 7-12, HR, 6 RBI) and Michael Taylor (.500, 5-10, 7 RBI) are leading the surge three-game win streak with Taylor also the owner of a four-game hit streak
• Stanford's pitching staff has recorded a solid 3.46 team ERA, which would be the lowest mark since the 1977 club checked in at 3.44 were the season to end today
• Freshman pitcher Jeremy Bleich has already recorded four saves and a 1-0 record at Stanford, giving up just three hits with eight strikeouts in 10.0 scoreless innings and posting an .094 opponents' batting average
• Stanford drew better than 2,000 fans in two of its games versus Texas, including a season-best 2,473 last Sunday
