Cardinal Sweeps First Pac-10 Match

Top-ranked Stanford defeated Washington State today 7-0 in it's opening Pac-10 match-up. The Cardinal is now 10-0 on it's season while the Cougars move to 4-4.

In singles, Lejla Hodzic handed Bianca Seleru her first loss in dual match play. Alexsandra Cekic was the lone Courgar to go three games with her Cardinal opponent Whitney Deason.

On the doubles side, Stanford also walked away victorius. No. 1 ranked Alice Barnes and Anne Yelsey upset the WSU duo that leads their team in dual match wins: Maria Ring and Amy Toth.

The Cardinal will continue its play tomorrow when they face-off against No. 39 Washington at noon.
