#46 Men's Tennis Downed by #8 UCLA 6-1

Los Angeles, Calif. - The #46 Arizona State Men's Tennis Team fell yet again in a 6-1 decision as they took on the #8 UCLA Bruins at the LA Tennis Center Saturday afternoon.


The Bruins came out on fire as they quickly swept the doubles point as Haythem Abid and Chris Surapol quickly handed Mike Beatty and T.J. Bellama an 8-1 loss in the two-spot followed up with an 8-4 win from their tenth-ranked double duo of Philipp Gruendler and Benjamin Kohlloeffel over ASU's Nick Hegarty and Jonathan Kinsella.


In singles the story was the same for the Bruins who came out to take five of the six singles matches on the day from the Devils.


In the one-spot ASU's Jonathan Kinsella took on #3 Benjamin Kohlloeffel, which saw the Bruin take the match in straight sets with a 6-2, 6-3 win.


The Bruins also made quick work of the Devils in the two through five spot as Christopher Biro, Nick Hegarty, Wes Miller and Mike Beatty all fell to their UCLA opponents in straight sets.


The highlight of the day for the Devils came yet again from freshman, T.J. Bellama who took down UCLA's Jeremy Drean in straight sets as he won 6-1, 7-5 keeping the Bruins from shutting out the Devils completely.


The Devils fall to 5-3 on the season and will return to action again next week as they remain on the road, heading to Georgia to take on the #28 Georgia Yellow Jackets on Friday, March 3 at .
