Cardinal to Play Baylor at San Francisco Tennis Club at 9:00 pm

Feb. 27, 2006

Today's scheduled match between No. 7 Stanford (6-0) and No. 9 Baylor (6-3) has been moved indoors to the San Francisco Tennis Club beginning at 9:00 pm. The match was originally scheduled to be played at the Taube Tennis Center, but weather has forced the match indoors. Admission is free.

The Cardinal is unbeaten this season, but faces a stiff challenge from perennial powerhouse Baylor. The Bears, which beat Cal 4-3 on Sunday, are led by sophomore Lars Poerschke, who is the fourth ranked singles player in the country.

Stanford is led by senior KC Corkery, ranked 13th in singles, junior James Pade, ranked 89th, and freshman Matt Bruch, who is ranked 10th in the nation.

This weekend, the Cardinal will compete in the Pacific Coast Doubles Tournament in La Jolla, Ca., Mar. 3-5.
