The Conference has seven of eight teams ranked in the USA Softball/ Top-25, with all seven schools in the Top-15 and six in the Top-10 ... Arizona and UCLA held on to the No. 1 and No. 4 spots after sweeping their respective tournaments last weekend ... Stanford remained at No. 6 while CALIFORNIA jumped to No. 7 after winning 3 games in Hawaii ... Oregon State remained in the Top-10 at No. 9 with its five wins over the weekend ... Arizona State moved into the Top-10, despite garnering its first loss of the season, falling in extra-innings to Virginia Tech ... Washington rounds out the Pac-10 contingent in the poll at 15th ... the Conference has garnered an astonishing .842 winning percentage (135-26, .839) thus far, including a .683 winning percentage (28-13) over ranked teams ... Six of eight league teams are batting over .300, and six of eight are holding opposing batters under .200 ... Fox Sports Net will televise the following three Conference games this season: UCLA at Washington on Fri., Apr. 14; Arizona at Stanford, Fri., Apr. 21; California at Oregon State, Fri., Apr. 28 ... Oregon State junior Brianne McGowan was named the USA Softball Player of the Week for Feb. 27-Mar. 5.

ARIZONA (20-1)
: The Wildcats defeated Long Beach State 11-0 in five innings to capture the 2006 Hillenbrand Invitational ... Arizona run-ruled four of their five opponents over the weekend, and defeated them by a combined score of 50-1 ... Senior pitcher Alicia Hollowell (11-0) has now won 122 games in her storied career, and stands in second place on UA's all-time victories list ... Arizona's six triples on the year are one more than the five they totaled in 2005 ... Every Wildcat starter, with the exception of Autumn Champion and Adrienne Acton had at least one home run last weekend ... Freshman Laine Roth had 10 RBI on the weekend ... Caitlin Lowe is riding an eight-game hitting streak ... Chelsie Mesa hit two home runs, had eight RBI and did not have a strikeout all weekend ... Taryne Mowatt (9-1) tossed two shutouts during the Hillenbrand Invitational, allowing no runs, three his and no walks in 10.0 innings pitched.

ARIZONA STATE (21-1): ASU's league-leading winning streak was broken by Virginia Tech this weekend, in an extra-innings 2-1 loss ... Pitcher Katie Burkhart (8-0) posted three wins over the weekend, including an exhibition victory over Team China ... She allowed only 11 hits and three runs while racking up 40 strikeouts ... Sophomore Kristen Miller batted .455 over the weekend with five hits, including a double and a home run ... ASU leads the Conference in six hitting categories: runs scored (138), runs batted in (128), home runs (30), total bases (298), walks (91) and stolen bases (46) ... Freshman standout Kaitlin Cochran continues to lead the league in on-base percentage (.571) and RBI (32) ... She is on pace to break the ASU record for RBI in a season (58) ... Junior Michelle Smith leads the Pac-10 with 20 stolen bases.

CALIFORNIA (13-2): Battling the rain in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Malihini Hipa Aloha Tournament, the Golden Bears played three of their five scheduled games ... Senior Haley Woods was named the honorary MVP of the Tournament after hitting five home runs, including a grand slam ... Overall, she was 8-for-10 with 12 RBI and five runs ... Woods leads the Conference with a 1.167 slugging percentage, nine home runs and 56 total bases ... Freshman pitcher Lauren Frankiewicz (5-0) threw a no-hitter against Mississippi Valley State, striking out seven in the Bears' 9-0 win ... She also shut out Mercer later in the weekend ... Cal is third in the Conference in both batting average (.323) and slugging percentage (.520), and has three players hitting over .400 (Woods- .479, James- .442, Winger- .429).

OREGON (12-9): The Ducks set the single-game RBI record in their 15-8 win over Cal State Northridge ... Senior shortstop Breanne Sabol also tied the single-game record for RBI with seven in that game ... Sabol went 6-for-17 on the weekend, with nine RBI, six runs scored, a double and a triple ... She is tied for the Pac-10 lead with three triples ... Eight of the nine Ducks in the starting lineup had at least one hit, and Lovena Chaput, Kayleen Hudson and Suzie Barnes finished the game with two hits apiece ... Freshman pitcher Melissa Rice (4-3) went 2-2 over the weekend, leading the Ducks to a 5-0 shutout win over No. 25 Fresno State ... She allowed just three earned runs in 23.1 innings pitched to post a 0.90 ERA ... Oregon leads the Conference with 11 triples and 21 sacrifice bunts on the season ... The Ducks also lead in two fielding categories (assists- 181 and fielding double plays- 9).

OREGON STATE (18-2): The Beavers hold the league's longest winning streak at 18 ... The OSU school record for longest winning streak is 22, set last season during the Beavers' run to the Pac-10 title ... Pitcher Brianne McGowan (11-1) was named the USA Softball National Player of the Week for Feb. 27-Mar. 6 after batting .700 and earning three victories on the mound during the Cal State Fullerton Worth Tournament ... She also earned the honor last season on April 7-12 ... McGowan had six RBI, five runs scored along with a 0.78 ERA with 18 k's in 18.0 innings pitched ... She also knocked three home runs ... Mia Longfellow went 3-for-4 in the Beavers' 7-4 victory at Cal State Fullerton ... She had a bases-clearing triple in the fourth to lead OSU to the win ... Oregon State leads the Conference in hits with 187 ... Junior Natalie Johnson continues to lead the Conference in batting with a .500 average.

STANFORD (17-4): The Cardinal went 3-1 at the Worth Invitational, defeating their third ranked opponent of the season in No. 12/16 Northwestern ... Freshman Maddy Coon led the Cardinal in hitting, batting .385 with a 1.154 slugging percentage ... She knocked three home runs, three runs and eight RBI in four games ... All three of her long balls were either game-winning or game-tying hits ... Fellow freshman Missy Penna (10-2) continued to dominate from the circle, going 2-0 ... She picked up wins over Purdue and Northwestern, tallying a 2.07 ERA ... On the weekend, she struck out 19 batters and walked eight ... Stanford has three pitchers ranked in the Top-10 in the Conference in ERA: Lauren Nydam (0-0), 0.00; Laura Severson (3-0), 1.12; and Becky McCullough (4-2), 1.33 ... After trailing Northwestern through six innings, Stanford hit a double (Lauren Lappin) and a home run (Coon) to tie the game in the seventh inning.

UCLA (19-1): The Bruins hit .362 in their Stacy Winsberg Memorial Tournament, holding opposing teams to a .130 batting average ... UCLA scored 49 runs against 6 opponent runs and slugged .645 to an opponent .195 percentage over the six games ... Andrea Duran hit .611 at the Tournament, going 11-for-18 with 13 runs scored, three doubles, a triple, three home runs and six RBI for a 1.389 slugging percentage ... Duran's 13 runs scored led the team and were more than double the number of runs that UCLA allowed during the tournament ... She posted eight consecutive hits during the tourney, becoming the fifth Bruin to post at least eight consecutive hits ... Sophomore hurler Anjelica Selden (11-1) went 3-0 with a 0.37 ERA last weekend, pitching two one-hitters and fanning 32 of the 66 batters she faced over 19.0 innings ... She held opposing batters to a .081 batting average.

WASHINGTON (15-6): The Huskies finished the Compass Invitational in Waco, Texas with a 3-3 record, with a win and a loss against each of the three Tournament participants ... Caitlin Noble (6-3) led the Huskies from the mound, striking out 10 and giving up just two hits to No. 19/18 Baylor ... Noble ranks tenth in the Conference with 71 strikeouts on the season ... Ashley Charters ranks fifth in the league in batting average (.478), fifth in on-base percentage (.521), tied for first in triples (3) and second in hits (32), ... Dena Tyson is tied for the Pac-10 lead in doubles with seven ... Freshman Danielle Lawrie (9-3) leads the league in batters struck out looking with 29 and ranks fourth with 100 k's ... The Huskies travel to the Fresno State Invitational this weekend ... Marnie Koziol had her 14-game hitting streak broken in game one against Bowling Green.
