The fifth-ranked UCLA men's golf team competes in separate events this weekend with the Gold Team traveling to Las Vegas and the Blue Team visiting the Bay Area.

The Gold Team will compete in the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship, hosted by Nevada Las Vegas at the Southern Highlands Golf Club.

The Blue Team will tee it up at the Battle of Monarch Bay, hosted by Holy Names at Monarch Bay GC in San Leandro.

Junior Chris Heintz, winner of the Braveheart Invitational on Tuesday, along with teammates Craig Leslie, Erik Flores, Kevin Chappell and Daniel Im will compete for the Gold Team in the Las Vegas event where Im is the defending champion.

'We're very much looking forward to the tournament,' said Head Coach O.D. Vincent. 'The field is the strongest we'll see all year as far as the rankings. Daniel Im is looking forward to defending his title.'

Peter Campbell, Brandon Christianson, Matt Marshall, Lucas Lee and James Lee will represent the Bruins at the Battle of Monarch Bay. The Blue team has won four events this season.

'The Blue Team is looking forward to continuing its success,' said Vincent.
