Cassidy Krug Fourth In 3-Meter At NCAA Zone E Championships

Oklahoma City, Okla. - Cassidy Krug finished fourth in the 3-meter competition on the second day of the NCAA Zone E Championships on Friday at Oklahoma Community College. Krug's performance followed a third-place showing on Thursday in the 1-meter competition. The three-day event concludes with the platform competition on Saturday.
The top 11 divers from the NCAA Zone E Championships will advance to the NCAA Championships to be held March 18-20 in Athens, Georgia. The NCAA qualification announcement will be made officially on Saturday following the conclusion of the meet.
Krug scored 639.40 points in Friday's 3-meter event, finishing behind winner USC Blythe Hartley (712.85) as well as Hawaii's QiongJie Huang (657.20) and Rui Wang (644.35) in the 40-diver field. Hartley and Huang were also the top two divers in Thursday's 1-meter.
Stanford's other two divers in the event - Katie Lampe and Sarah Ohr - also reached the finals round of 18 divers for the second consecutive day. Lampe was 15th with 504.85 points, while Ohr took 17th with 497.35 points. On Thursday in the 1-meter, Ohr ended up 11th (495.10), while Lampe was 12th (477.10).
