Oklahoma City, Okla. - Cassidy Krug officially qualified for the NCAA Championships on Saturday when 11 NCAA qualifiers from the NCAA Zone E Championships were announced on Saturday. Krug did not compete in Saturday's platform event that ended competition at the meet but qualified based on a third-place showing Thursday in the 1-meter competition and a fourth-place finish in Friday's 3-meter.

Sara Bowling was Stanford's top finisher in Saturday's platform, taking seventh with 436.10 points in an event won by Rui Wang of Hawaii with a dominating score of 648.35 points that was 149.60 better than USC Kimberly Popp's second-place total of 498.75. USC's Blythe Hartley, the winner in both the 1-meter and 3-meter on Thursday and Friday, fell short in her attempt to sweep all three events by taking fourth with 464.65 points.

Katie Lampe also competed in the prelims for the Cardinal, finishing 24th with 165.45 points.

Krug will join nine Stanford swimmers at the 2006 NCAA Championships to be held March 18-20 in Athens, Georgia.
