The Cardinal, which last played a dual match on March 11, ran its overall record to 8-2. Stanford won five of siz singles matches to record the win. Doubles was not played.

Corkery entered the match ranked 24th in singles while Soriano was ranked 91st.
The match moved to the indoor court at the Taube Tennis Center and the Cardinal picked up three straight wins to clinch the match.
