Track & Field Heads to Cal-Nevada and Stanford Invite This Weekend

The majority of the men's and women's track and field teams will head to Fresno, CA for the Cal/Nevada Championships Friday, March 31 through Saturday April 1 as the first outdoor team title is on the line. The meet features numerous schools from the state of California, as well as UNLV and Nevada. Five athletes will head to Palo Alto, CA for the Stanford Invitational, also on Friday and Saturday of this week.
Heading to Palo Alto are distance runners Claire Rethmeier (10000m), Martell Munguia (800) and Erik Emilsson (steeple), along with throwers Sarah Ingram (javelin) and Kamaiya Warren (shot put/discus).

Field events begin on Friday at 10:00 am with the prelims of the men's hammer and women's shot put, while running events begin at 12:00 pm with the prelims of the women's 1500m. On Saturday, field events begin at 10:30 am with the finals of the men's hammer. Running events start at 2:00 pm with the finals of the women's 4x100m relay.
