Cal Places 16 Rowers on All-Academic Team

BERKELEY - California had 16 members of its men's rowing team honored Tuesday with the announcement of the 2006 Pac-10 All-Academic squad.

The Pac-10 champion Golden Bears feature two rowers on the first team, 11 rowers on the second team and three on the honorable mention unit.

Earning first-team accolades are Andre Bastos, a junior majoring in cognitive science, and David Puder, a senior immunology major.
