Beltran Helps U.S. U-20s Earn Win And Tie In Canada

Incoming sophomore transfer Tony Beltran started in both games for the U.S. Under-20 National Team against the Canadian Under-20s over the weekend. On Friday, July 7, the U.S. won the first match in Toronto, 2-1, before playing to a 1-1 tie in Kingston on Sunday, July 9. Beltran played all 90 minutes in both games.

The next event for the U.S. Under-20s is the Northern Ireland Milk Cup, which takes place July 30-August 4. The participating teams are the U.S., Denmark, Northern Ireland, Paraguay, Turkey and Wales. The U.S. roster for the tournament has yet to be announced. Beltran and Bruin teammates Greg Folk, Jason Leopoldo and Sal Zizzo were all on the U.S. team that won the Milk Cup last summer.
