Men's Cross Country Training Camp Update and Photo Gallery

Sept. 14, 2006

The UCLA men's cross country team has been participating in high altitude training at Lake Tahoe in preparation for the Fall season. Head Coach Eric Peterson took a few moments of his time to update the fans on how camp is going.

'This year we decided to try something new with the men's team after having spent the past 13 years training up at Mammoth Lakes. It has worked out great! This camp has provided our team an opportunity to get reaquainted, as well as give them a chance to bond together. Our freshmen are getting to know the older guys and finding a role and position on this team.

The workouts these guys have been doing have been great and our team is very healthy. We are just a few days out of returning to LA to prepare for the Roy Griak Invitational on Friday, September 23.

Trying something new. Last 13 yrs come to mammoth with both men and women, and wanted to try something new and ended up working out great. Tahoe has been a wonderful place to train with great trails and scenery and our guys have responded nicely to the camp. We're just gearing up and ready for the season to really get underway.'
