PULLMAN, Wash. - Kim Bonnes and Elysse Van Leer each tallied their first goals of the season Friday as the Washington State women's soccer team defeated Montana 2-1 at Lower Soccer Field. The Cougars improve their overall record to 4-2-1.

'We are excited to get the win, especially at home,' said head coach Matt Potter. 'Now we've got some positive momentum building up and that's encouraging going forward. The Grizzlies knotted the match 1-1 at the 38:17 mark as Sara Campbell ran onto a ball slipped behind the Cougar defense and buried a shot far post from three yards out. Montana's Kristina Lamberty earned an assist on the play.
