Pac-10 Football Players of the Week Announced

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Split end Dwayne Jarrett of USC, safety C.J. Wallace of Washington and kicker Loren Langley of Washington State, have been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Football Players of the Week.
Jarrett, a junior from New Brunswick, N.J., had a record-setting performance in USC's 28-10 win against No. 19-ranked Nebraska. The All-America receiver pulled in 11 receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns. The two touchdowns established Jarrett as the USC career record-holder with 31 touchdowns. He is just one shy of the Pac-10 career record of 32.
Wallace, a senior from Sacramento, Calif., led the Washington defense in the Huskies' 21-20 win against Fresno State. Wallace posted a game- and career-high 17 tackles, 10 solo, including two tackles for loss and forced a fumble. The Washington defense limited Fresno State to 297 yards total offense.
Langley, a junior from Puyallup, Wash., kicked the game-winning field goal from 17 yards with nine seconds remaining in the game to lift Washington State to a 17-15 win against Baylor.
Others nominated for offensive player of the week honors were running backs Marshawn Lynch of California and Chris Jennings of Arizona, quarterback Isaiah Stanback of Washington and receivers Jaison Williams of Oregon and Michael Bumpus of Washington State. Also nominated on defense were cornerbacks Justin Tyron of Arizona State and Daymeion Hughes of California, linebackers Rey Maualuga of USC and Blair Phillips of Oregon and tackle Ropati Pitoitua of Washington State.
