Seattle - The Husky women's golf team tees off its 2006-07 season at the Nittany Lion Invitational in University Park, Penn. at the Penn State Blue Course from Sept. 22-24. Washington is coming off one of its most successful seasons, as 2006 saw former Husky Paige Mackenzie crowned the Pac-10 champion and the team finish in a tie for sixth at the NCAA Championship.

UW's lineup for the Nittany Lion Invitational includes seniors Courtney McCracken, Amber Prange and Amy Wang, junior Kim Shin and newcomer Molly Aronsson. Freshman Christina Yoon and sophomore Molly Boyle will be competing in the event as individuals.

Prange finished the 2005-06 season with a 75.82 stroke average, and finished in the top-10 in two tournaments, including a fifth-place finish at the NCAA West Regional. McCracken's 78.43 stroke average was good for fourth place among the Huskies in 2005-06, and her 12th place finish at the Edean Ihlanfeld Invitational was a season best.
