Final Day of UW Women's Soccer Tournament Set for Friday

SEATTLE - Inter-conference competitors clash again Friday (Sept. 22) at Husky Soccer Field during the second, and final day of the Pac-10/Mountain West Challenge women's soccer tournament.

Host Washington and Washington State from the Pac-10 seek to even the score after suffering 1-0 losses against their Mountain West foes on Thursday. WSU lost to New Mexico while 23rd-ranked Brigham Young edged the Huskies (Day 1 Recap).

The teams exchange opponents Friday, beginning at 4:30 p.m. with a battle of Cougars when WSU and BYU meet. Washington and New Mexico square off in the nightcap of the doubleheader at 7 p.m.

This marks the second time this season that the Huskies have played games on consecutive nights. During the season-opening No Ka Oi Tournament, the Huskies posted back-to-back victories over host Hawaii and Oklahoma on Aug. 25 and 26.
