Mouillon Advances to All-American Championships Main Draw

Oct. 4, 2006

TULSA, OK - After losing the first set, junior Pierre Mouillon rebounded to win his third match in the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Championships qualifying tournament. Mouillon defeated Nick Rinks of Michigan State, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Wednesday.

With the win, Mouillon was one of the sixteen competitors in the qualifying round to advance to the main draw tournament. The victory was also his sixth of the fall. The transfer from Mississippi State won his first two matches of the campaign in the Napa Valley Classic before taking four matches in the All-American's.

The competition will get a lot tougher for Mouillon in the main draw. He will have to contend with last season's tournament winner, and the No. 1 seed this year, John Isner of Georgia. The main draw begins tomorrow and will continue through Oct. 8
