No. 4 USC Sweeps Arizona In Tucson; Galen Center Debut Up Next

LOS ANGELES -- Junior Diane Copenhagen (Saratoga/St. Francis HS) led with a team-high 17 kills Saturday as the No. 4 USC Women of Troy earned the 3-0 sweep (30-19, 30-27, 33-31) against the Arizona Wildcats in a Pac-10 Conference match in Tucson, Ariz.

USC remains perfect on the season with a 17-0 record, 5-0 in Pac-10 play while Arizona fell to 9-8 overall, 0-5 in conference.

Brooke Buringrud had 12 kills for the Wildcats, but Arizona was only able to hit .092 on the evening with 29 hitting errors.

Freshman setter Taylor Carico (Manhattan Beach/Mira Costa HS) had 33 assists with four kills and nine digs for the Women of Troy while senior All-America libero Debora Seilhamer had 16 digs.

Seilhamer set the USC school record for most career digs in last night's match at Arizona State.

USC hosts the first-ever event at the brand-new Galen Center on Thursday (Oct. 12) against No. 6 Stanford at 7 p.m. Fox Sports Net will broadcast the match with a special Trojans Live pregame show beginning at 6:30 p.m.
