WSU Tennis Concludes Play at Jack Taylor Classic

BOISE, Idaho - Washington State University finished the Jack Taylor Classic in Boise, Idaho by capturing two singles wins against the Mountain West's New Mexico Lobos at the Appleton Tennis Center.

WSU's wins came from senior Marjolein van de Ven and newcomer Ashley Spicer. Spicer defeated New Mexico's Jennifer Ryba, 6-4, 6-1. Spicer earned her first singles victory at the Jack Taylor Classic and has an overall record of 4-3. Senior transfer van de Ven earned her second victory of the tournament as she downed Nora Quintal in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5.

The Cougars will take a break from action as they prepare for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northwest Regional, Oct 20.
