Tickets Still Available for Saturday's Cal-Washington Game

Oct. 18, 2006

BERKELEY - Tickets are still available for this Saturday's Pac-10 college football game between 11th-ranked California and Washington. This is one of just three remaining home games for the Golden Bears. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. and both reserved ($40) and general admission ($25 adult, $15 youth) seats remain.

California head coach Jeff Tedford was very appreciative of the crowd support his Bears had in their last home game, a 45-24 victory over Oregon on Oct. 7.

'I really want to thank the fans for creating the twelfth man today,' Tedford said after the victory. 'It was an unbelievable atmosphere here. It was a great day for our players, the University and for our fans. I really appreciate the environment.'

Tedford and the Bears hope to have a similar environment this weekend. Cal has won six straight games for just the second time since the 1950 season. The Golden Bears are also off to their first4-0 start in Pac-10 play since the 1950 campaign. Eight different players are on 'Watch Lists' for 12 different national postseason awards.

Fans can purchase tickets by calling 1-800-GO-BEARS or by going online at Tickets will go on sale on the day of the game at 8:30 a.m. at Memorial Stadium.
