Men's Golfers Set To Compete In Callaway Golf Collegiate Match Play Championship

SEATTLE -- Washington men's golf will head to Fort Worth, Texas, to compete in the Callaway Golf Collegiate Match Play Championship at the Colonial Country Club, Oct. 29-31. The Huskies, seeded 12th, will face fifth-seed Clemson in the first round, Sunday.
The tournament features 16 teams that finished in the Top 20 at last year's NCAA Championships. Invitation to the Callaway Golf Collegiate Match Play Championship is based on teams' 2006 NCAA finish.
The winner of the Washington versus Clemson matchup will advance to play the winner of the No. 4 Oklahoma State versus No. 13 N.C. State matchup. Rounding out UW's bracket will be first round matchups between No. 1 Florida and No. 16 Arizona, and No. 8 UNLV versus No. 9 Duke.
The first-round matchups in the lower half of the bracket include No. 3 UCLA versus No. 14 Auburn, No. 6 Coastal Carolina versus No. 11 Lamar, No. 7 Texas A&M versus No. 10 Arizona State, and No. 2 Georgia versus No. 15 Minnesota.
