No. 6 Cal Upset by San Diego State, 3-1

SAN DIEGO - Sixth-ranked California fell, 3-1, to Pac-10 opponent San Diego State on Friday afternoon. The Aztecs, who swept the season series with the Golden Bears, snapped Cal's five-game winning streak as they improved their record to 8-5-3 (4-2-2 Pac-10). Cal, which led the conference entering the day, fell to 11-4-1 (6-2-0).

San Diego State took a 3-0 lead, the last on an 88th-minute penalty kick, before Cal senior midfielder Nick Hatzke scored the Bears' lone goal on an 89th-minute penalty kick.
