Cal Places Fifth, Women Ninth at Pac-10 Cross Country Championships

STANFORD, Calif. - The California men's cross country team placed fifth with 130 points at the Pac-10 Championships Saturday at the Stanford Golf Course, while the Golden Bears' women's squad took ninth with 260 points.

Junior David Torrence led all Cal runners for the third straight competition with an 11th-place showing, covering the 8K course in 23:44.83. Junior Rebecca Yau paced the Bears' women's team for the fourth consecutive race, placing 26th on the 6K course in 21:35.57.
