Soccer To Face Texas A&M in Big 12 Semifinals
SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The No. 23 University of Colorado women's soccer team is set to take on the No. 11 Texas A&M Aggies on Friday at 4:30 p.m. MST in the semifinals of the 2006 Big 12 Tournament.
Colorado is making its third-straight semifinals appearance. The Buffs won last year's semifinal against Texas 3-2 in overtime on an Allison Kidd goal. They went on to the finals and fell 2-1 to A&M in double overtime. Two years ago the Aggies eliminated Colorado from the semifinals.
The Buffaloes advanced to the semifinals in a shootout win over Kansas on Wednesday. The final score of the game was 1-1, with CU's Nikki Keller netting the lone Buff goal. Goalkeeper Kirstin Radlinski made one save in the shootout and all five Colorado players finished their shots as the Buffs advanced 5-3.
Texas A&M advanced to the semifinals with a 3-0 victory over the Baylor Bears. The Aggies got goals from Ashlee Pistorius, Cydne Currie and Kat Krambeer in the victory, while Kristin Arnold got her 10th shutout of the season.
The teams have met four times in the Big 12 Tournament, with Texas A&M winning all four matches.

No. 2 seed Oklahoma State and No. 3 seed Texas will play in the second semifinal match scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The winners of the two games will meet in the Big 12 Championship match set for Sunday at 1 p.m. FOX Sports Net will televise Sunday's championship match on a tape-delay basis. Tickets for Friday's match can be purchased through Ticketmaster statewide in Texas or through the San Antonio Sports Foundation web site (sanantoniosports.org). Prices are $6 per session or $99 for a Team Pack of 20 tickets.
