UCLA Women's Cross Country Team Finishes 5th at NCAA Regionals

The UCLA women's cross country team placed 5th at the NCAA West Regional Championship in Gresham, Ore., on Saturday at Blue Lake Park.

Stanford won the Regional Championship with 42 points, followed by UC Santa Barbara with 72 points, both earning the two automatic bids to the NCAA Championships.

Arizona State was third with 83 points followed by Washington with 140 points and the Bruins with 170 points.

Sophomore Allie Bohannon was the Bruins' top individual finisher, placing 11th with a time of 21:39.90.

Stanford's Arianna Lambie was the top individual finisher, crossing the line in a time of 20:58.85.

Other Bruin finishes include: 19. Ashley Caldwell (21:57.62), 46. Olga Aulet-Leon (22:36.92), 47. Jenna Timinsky (22:37.16), 51. Allison Hall (22:44.66), 81. Nicole Pennes (23:20.82) and 84. Claire Rethmeier (23:25.23).
