Belmont (2-2) led early by as much as five, but a 16-0 Cal run midway through the first half broke the game open.

The run began when the Bears, trailing 11-8 at the 12:57 mark, held the Bruins scoreless for the next 5:45. Cal's Lauren Greif led the spurt with three defensive rebounds and a steal.

The Bears led 35-22 at the half, and Belmont never got the lead under single digits again.
