Nov. 24, 2006

The UCLA gymnastics team will conduct its annual 'Meet the Bruins' event on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 12:00 pm in the John Wooden Center on the UCLA campus. Admission is free to the public.

Spectators will be treated to exhibition performances and skills demonstrations from the five-time NCAA champion Bruins, which feature 2005 NCAA all-around champion and 2000 U.S. Olympian Tasha Schwikert, two-time All-American Kristina Comforte, 2005 All-American Jordan Schwikert and 2006 Pac-10 Co-Freshman of the Year Ariana Berlin. Fans will get a sneak preview of UCLA's renowned floor exercise routines, which are choreographed by Bruin head coach Valorie Kondos Field.

Also taking place during the event will be question and answer sessions with the gymnasts and UCLA coaches. Fans will also be given a crash course in Gymnastics 101 - an educational look at the construction of gymnastics routines.

After the exhibition, spectators can obtain autographs and have pictures taken with the Bruin gymnasts. Season ticket and support group membership information will be available throughout the afternoon. Season tickets can also be purchased now through the UCLABruins.com website.

The Bruins' regular season begins on Saturday, Jan. 6 at 6 pm against Washington in Pauley Pavilion.
