Zack Miller Named Pac-10 Men's Golfer of the Month

Walnut Creek, Calif. - Zack Miller of Stanford has been named Pacific-10 Conference Golfer of the Month for October/November 2006.
Miller, a senior from San Rafael, Calif., won two tournaments and in the process led Stanford to two team titles during the period. Miller made six birdies over the final nine holes and shot a final-round 69 for a nine-under 207 to claim medalist honors at The Prestige at PGA West. Two weeks later, Miller tied with teammate Rob Grube for top medalist honors at the CordeValle Collegiate, helping Stanford a a 14-stroke win. Miller fired a course-record 63 in the second round and finished the tournament at 14- under 202.
Also nominated for player of the month honors were Jamie Lovemark of USC, winner of the Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge, Matt Ma of Oregon, winner of the Northwest Collegiate Classic, Michael Wilson of California, winner of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, and Diego Velasquez of Oregon State.
