Oregon, UCLA Two of Nation's Three Remaining Unbeatens

OREGON and UCLA, two of the nation's three remaining unbeatens, will meet Saturday, but must first face USC and OREGON STATE on Thursday ... ARIZONA, riding an 11-game winning streak, heads to Seattle where WASHINGTON has won 49 of the last 51 games played in Bank of America Arena ... Four teams grace the AP Top 25 with UCLA on top at No. 1, followed by No. 7 ARIZONA, No. 16 OREGON , and No. 24 WASHINGTON.

Arizona's Ivan Radenovic Named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Player of the Week

ARIZONA guard Ivan Radenovic has been named the U.S. Bank Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for December 25-31.

Radenovic, a senior from Belgrade, Serbia, averaged 19.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in leading the Wildcats to a pair of victories last week. He opened the week with 17 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots in a 94-85 win over California. He then scored 22 points, grabbed six rebounds, dished out five assists and collected four steals in the Wildcats' 89-75 win over Stanford. For the week, he shot 13-of-21 (.619) from the field, 2-of-3 (.667) from three-point range, and 11-of-12 (.917) from the free throw line.

This is the first weekly honor for Radenovic and Arizona's 68th Player of the Week all-time.

• ARIZONA sophomore F Marcus Williams shot a combined 18-of-22 (.818) from the field in victories over California and Stanford. Williams posted 21 points against California and 23 points against Stanford. His six games of scoring 20 or more points leads the Pac-10 ... UA's current 11-game win streak equals the longest streak of the last nine seasons. The last Arizona team to win 12 or more straight games was the 1997-98 club that posted won a school-record 19 consecutive games during that season. Incidentally, all of the wins in this year's streak have been by seven points or more, and during the streak Arizona has outscored the opposition by an average of 16.0 points per game ... Arizona has connected on 51.8 percent (364-of-703) of its attempts this season. That figure is the highest field goal percentage in the program since the 1987-88 squad shot 54.5 percent (1,147-of-2,106) en route to a 35-3 record and a berth in the Final Four. It's worth noting that Arizona is shooting 101 percentage points higher than the opposition (.518-.417) ... Senior G Mustafa Shakur has passed out five or more assists in all 12 games to date. He's led Arizona to a 52-11 (.825) record during his career when he passes out five or more assists in a game.

• ARIZONA STATE sophomore Jeff Pendergraph is averaging a double-double in the past seven games (13.3 points and 11.0 boards) ... Herb Sendek gets his first chance against a ranked team as ASU head coach when the Sun Devils take on Washington on Saturday. He has 29 wins against ranked teams in his career including nine on the the Sun Devils hit the road, it is worth noting they were the only team in the Pac-10 to have more league road wins (three) than home wins (two) last season. They are the only team to do that the past two seasons ... After shooting 6-of-33 (.182) from the three-point stripe in his first three seasons, senior F Serge Angounou is 23-of-46 (.500) from beyond the arc and is averaging 12.0 points and 9.7 rebounds in the past nine games ... ASU is allowing just 63.2 points per game, its lowest since the 1949-50 team gave up 59.8 points per game ... ASU and Washington State have split the past 12 meetings.

• With CALIFORNIA junior C DeVon Hardin sidelined with stress fracture in his left mid-foot, junior F Eric Vierneisel has picked up the scoring. He's averaged 11.0 points the last three games, shooting 8-of-15 (.533) from three-point range ... Over the last five games, freshman F Ryan Anderson is averaging 18.2 points and 9.2 rebounds ... Cal hit a season-high 13 three-pointers against Arizona and shot 25-of-58 (.431) from three-point range on its roadtrip through the desert last week. Senior G Ayinde Ubaka led the way hitting 7-of-16 (.438) from beyond the arc. Prior to the trip, the Bears were averaging 6.3 three-pointers made per game and were shooting 36.2 percent from long distance.

• OREGON is 13-0 for the first time in 69 years. The last Oregon team to go 13-0 was the 1937-38 squad, which won its first 14 games ... The 13-game winning streak is the longest since the Ducks won 14 straight from Feb. 26, 1946-Jan. 3, 1947 ... Freshman F Joevan Catron hauled in a season-best 17 rebounds against Portland. Despite playing with a smaller line-up, the Ducks have outrebounded their opponent in 10 of 13 games this season ... Six Ducks are scoring in double figures - junior F Bryce Taylor (16.8), senior G Aaron Brooks (16.5), freshman G Tajuan Porter (15.2), junior G/F Malik Hairston (13.4), junior F Maarty Leunen (12.1), and junior G Chamberlain Oguchi (10.4) ... The Pac-10 now boasts two of the three remaining unbeaten teams left in the nation -- Oregon and UCLA, both 13-0. Clemson (14-0) is the other one.

• For the first time this season, OREGON STATE had five players score in double figures against Oregon ... Junior F Marcel Jones posted his third double-double of the season with 16 points/10 rebounds vs. Oregon. Over the last four games Jones is averaging 13.5 points and 6.0 rebounds ... Freshman G Josh Tarver scored 15 points and added a career-best seven assists in the loss to Oregon. Tarver is averaging 6.0 assists over the last three games, and has dished out four or more assists in each of the last six games ... The Beavers take on UCLA in Gill Coliseum where they have defeated the Bruins twice in the last three meetings.

• STANFORD's Freshmen F Brook and Robin Lopez combined for 31 points and 16 rebounds in the loss at Arizona. Brook posted 17 points and nine rebounds, while Robin scored 14 points and collected seven rebounds. The Cardinal grabbed 21 offensive boards in outrebounding Arizona 36-27 ... Over the last three games, sophomore F Lawrence Hill is shooting 19-of-35 (.543), while averaging 16.7 points and 7.0 rebounds ... The Cardinal has won 50 of its last 58 games at Maples Pavilion dating back to the 2002-03 season ... Stanford has a 13-game winning streak over Cal at Maples Pavilion. The last Bears victory at Maples came during the 1992-93 season.

• UCLA is forcing the opposition into 18.8 turnovers per game, and is leading the Pac-10 with a +5.92 turnover margin. The Bruins also lead the Pac-10 in steals with 9.15 steals per game. That's a significant difference from a year ago when UCLA ranked sixth in steals (5.74 spg) and seventh in turnover margin (-0.15) ... The Bruins forced Washington into 22 turnovers and converted those into 34 points against the Huskies in the 96-74 victory ... Junior G Arron Afflalo has scored in double-figures in each of the last 13 games, and is averaging 16.6 points per game this season ... Sophomore G Darren Collison is averaging 13.9 points on 34-of-59 (.576) shooting, and 6.1 assists over the last seven games.

• USC junior F Nick Young is shooting 26-of-40 (.650) over the last three games, averaging 21.7 points over that span ... The Trojans shot a combined 40-of-53 (.755) from the free throw line in games last week against Washington and Washington State. For the season, they are shooting 72.8 percent from the free throw line. USC has shot better than 70 percent from the charity stripe over the course of one season just once (2001) in the last 20 years ... The Trojans lead the Pac-10 in field goal percentage defense (.346). The school record is 35.3 percent set during the 1956 season. USC is second in the league in scoring defense, allowing just 59.7 points per game ... USC had success last season on its roadtrip through Oregon winning in both Eugene and Corvallis for just the fourth time in the last 27 years.

• WASHINGTON freshman C Spencer Hawes scored a career-high 24 points, shooting 10-of-16 from the field, in the double overtime loss at USC. Hawes hit his first career three-point attempt at the buzzer to force the second overtime ... Over the last seven games Hawes is shooting 60-of-95 (.632) and averaging 21.1 points ... Sophomore F Jon Brockman has posted double digit rebound totals in each of the last four games, averaging 11.8 rebounds over that span ... The Huskies are riding a 16-game winning streak at home, and have won 49 of their last 51 games at Bank of America Arena. They had won a school-best 32 consecutive home games from Jan. 29, 2004 to Dec. 31, 2005 before Arizona, this Thursday's opponent, ended the streak with a 96-95 double-overtime victory last season.

• Thanks to junior G Kyle Weaver's go-ahead layup with four seconds remaining, WASHINGTON STATE broke an eight-game Pac-10 road losing streak with its win at USC ... The Cougars lead the Pac-10 in scoring defense allowing just 57.3 points per game. That's slightly better than last season's league-leading total of 57.7 points allowed per game. However, the bigger difference comes on the offensive end where the Cougars are averaging 66.4 points for a scoring margin of +9.6 points. Last season the Cougars averaged 58.2 points and posted a scoring margin of +0.5 points ... Junior G Derrick Low has posted double digit scoring numbers in five of the last six games, leading the team in scoring in each of those five games. Over the last six games, Low is averaging 14.8 points. Over the last four games, Low has played in 149 of a possible 160 minutes of action (37.3 minutes per game). He leads the team in minutes played, averaging 33.29 per game.
