USC's Nick Young Named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Men's Basketball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - USC guard/forward Nick Young has been named the U.S. Bank Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for January 15-21.

Young, a junior from Los Angeles, Calif., averaged 24.0 points and 5.5 rebounds as USC swept the Arizona schools. In the 80-73 win over Arizona, Young led the Trojans with 30 points, shooting 13-of-19 (.684) from the field, and pulled down eight rebounds. He scored 22 of his 30 points in the second half. It was the third time Young reached the 30-point total in his career. In the 58-49 win over Arizona State, he led all scorers with 18 points and grabbed three rebounds. For the week, he shot 17-of-28 (.607) from the field, 2-of-3 (.667) from three-point range, and 12-of-17 (.706) from the free throw line.

This is the first weekly honor for Young and USC's 26th Player of the Week all-time.
