No. 17 Men's Track & Field Continues Indoor Season in Seattle on Friday

The No. 17-ranked men's track and field team will continue the indoor season in Seattle, WA Friday-Saturday as they compete at the Washington Invitational. The meet features several top-ranked programs and attracts thousands of competitors yearly.

The Bruins will travel a small squad this week, primarily made up of distance runners and throwers, as well as some sprinters. Top prep distance runners Scott Crawford and Marlon Patterson will make their UCLA track debuts as Patterson will run the mile and Crawford the half-mile.

UCLA will also have a team in the Distance Medley Relay.The team was supposed to open up last weekend, but pulled out during the meet.

John Caulfield, who is ranked in the top-10 in the country in the shot put, will look to improve on his NCAA qualifying mark (60-8), while Darius Savage, just three weeks removed from football season, will also compete in the shot.

Events begin on Friday at 8:30 am and at 3:00 pm on Saturday.
