Jan. 29, 2007

UCLA women's basketball player Noelle Quinn will have her high school jersey (#45) retired in a ceremony on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at halftime of the Bishop Montgomery-St. Joseph high school girls' basketball game. The contest will be played at Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, Calif. and is set to tip-off at 7 p.m.

Quinn led Bishop Montgomery to four Del Rey league titles, three CIF Division III championships, four California Regional Division III crowns and four CIF State Division III championships. She was selected a McDonald's All-American and a first-team USA Today Prep All-American. The Bruin senior was a four-time Division III CIF and State Player of the Year.

At UCLA, Quinn, now a senior, has joined Ann Meyers as the only Bruin women's players to score at least 1,600 points, grab 700 rebounds and hand out over 400 assists for a career. The Los Angeles native is listed among UCLA's all-time top 10 in points (10th), rebounds (ninth) and assists (eighth). A two-time first-team All-Pac-10 selection, Quinn currently ranks fifth in the Pac-10 in scoring (16.6 avg.) and 11th in the nation in assists (6.2 avg.) after helping lead UCLA to the 2006 Pac-10 Tournament Championship.
