TEMPE, Ariz. - The No. 57 Arizona State Men's Tennis team returns to action Friday against the No. 70 UC Santa Barbara at 1:30 p.m. and Saturday against South Florida at noon. Both matches are to be played at ASU's Whiteman Tennis Center.

This Week

The Arizona State Sun Devils continue their 2007 campaign this

weekend as they host the #70 UC Santa Barbara Gauchos (0-0)

and the South Florida Bulls (1-0). The Gauchos had their season

openers against BYU and Pepperdine rained out last weekend

and look to kick off their 2007 season against the Sun Devils.

Versus the Gauchos, the Sun Devils currently hold a 10-5 record

over UC Santa Barbara. Their last meeting was February 4, 2006

at ASU's Whiteman Tennis Center with a

fi nal score of 4-3.

The Sun Devils remain home next weekend as they take on Santa Clara

on Friday, Feb. 9 at 2:00 p.m. MT and Georgia Tech Saturday, Feb. 10 at

Noon MT, both at ASU's Whiteman Tennis Center.

At The Helm

Coach Lou Belken enters his 25th season at the helm of

the Sun Devil program, the sixth longest tenure of any head

coach at ASU. In his 25 seasons, Belken has led his team

to 18 berths in the tournament. This year he threatens to

top the 300 wins mark as he enters the season with 284

career wins.
