Distance Runners and Vaulters to Represent No. 5 Women's Track & Field at MPSF

The UCLA women's track and field team, who jumped from 19th to fifth in the latest Trackwire rankings, will send a group of distance runners and vaulters to the MPSF Indoor Championships in Seattle, WA this Friday and Saturday.
Heading to Seattle are - Allie Bohannon, DMR and 800m (2:11.02); Ashley Caldwell, mile (4:51.59); Allison Hall, 800m (2:15.89) and mile (5:00.37); Lauren Jirges, DMR and 800m (2:16.82); Gabrielle Bournes, 800m (2:19.76); Rosa Magana, 800m (2:15.49); Krishna Curry, 800m (2:17.50); Shantae McKinney, DMR; Jenna Timinsky, DMR; Megan Jamerson, PV (12-6.75); Ingrid Kantola, PV (13-10); Jacqueline Nguyen, PV (12-6.50); and Elizabeth Woepse, PV (12-4.50).
Bohannon will lead off on the 1200m leg of the DMR, with McKinney running the 400m, Timinsky the 800m, and Jirges anchoring in the 1600m.
Bohannon ranks eighth in the 800m for the MPSF, followed by Caldwell at No. 11, Magana at No. 18 and Hall at No. 19. Caldwell and Hall also rank eighth and 15th, respectively, in the mile. Kantola ranks second in the pole vault, with Jamerson and Nguyen at the No. 8 and No. 9 spots, while Woepse ranks 14th. The Bruins have not fielded a distance medley relay team thus far in the indoor season and are not ranked in that event.
