Women's Golf To Make Spring Debut At Wildcat Invitational

SEATTLE - The Washington women's golf team will make its 2007 spring debut at the Wildcat Invitational at the Arizona National Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz., Monday, Feb. 26 through Tuesday, Feb. 27.

The tournament will be held on a par-71, 6,238-yard course and include two rounds on Monday and the final round on Tuesday, with tee times beginning each day at 8 a.m. MT (7 a.m. PT).

A 15-field team includes host Arizona, UW, Arizona State, BYU, California, Duke, New Mexico, Pepperdine, Stanford, Tennessee, UCLA, UNLV, USC, Vanderbilt and Virginia. Seven of the 15 teams are ranked in the latest GolfWeek Top-10 and 12 are in the Top-25.

The Husky lineup will be led by senior Amber Prange and include junior Kim Shin, freshman Molly Aronsson, freshman Christina Yoon and redshirt-freshman Molly Boyle.

Arizona State is the defending team champion, while Vanderbilt's Jacqui Concolino won last year's individual title. The Huskies finished 15th at last year's Wildcat Invitational, led by 25th-place finisher Prange.
